With the collaboration of volunteers, more than 245 electric generators where distributed to non-profit organizations. The deliveries began in San Juan on Monday, October 23, 2017 and continued all week long. In coming days other deliveries will take place on other key strategical areas within the Country. For the NPOs these power generators will help them to sustain their operations at times when their services are very much needed and crucial for their respective communities.

United Way of Puerto Rico has always been able to help quickly where necessary and today the Puerto Rican community needs us a lot. Currently, this is a challenging and ever-changing situation that we face as we strive to get our way of life near to normal once again. Both Federal and State Governments are doing everything humanly possible to help our people, but in the end it will be our over 130 nonprofit network partners that will provide 70% of all the essential services offered to the community. The commitment, action and support from all sectors will help us rebuild a better, resilient and stronger Puerto Rico, as it still an incredible place to live and visit, said Samuel Gonzalez, president of United Way of Puerto Rico.

Our gratitude also extends to those who LIVE UNITED at these critical moments.
